NUEVA ECIJA "CROWN OF THE RICE"

Nueva Ecija a one of a kind province in the Philippines and also known as the "RICE CAPITAL OF THE PHILIPPINES". iIt is the best producer of rice in the country, this province contributed almost half of the rice needed by our country. And this is how the Nueva Ecija start from the bottom to the top.

         Nueva ecija was created as military comandancia in 1777 by Governor General Claveria with the capital Josean at Baler (now part of Aurora). From its humble beginning, it's land area grew to cover almost the entire island of Luzon. And did you know that from the record of Spanish they recognizes only 2 spanish countries in the pacific the "Las Islas Filipinas and Nueva Ecija". But because of poverty the Nueva Ecija was not given recognition by the king of spain as a seperate country from the Philippines. Time and time comes the land territory of Nueva Ecija was subdivided.
